  • The type of care given.
  • Convenience of where the care center is located.
  • A clean, well- lit facility with plenty of indoor and outdoor space.
  • Parents allowed to visit at all times.
  • Food prepared, maintained, and stored properly to assure its flavor, safety, appearance, and nutrition.
  • All children in care be screened for current immunizations, TB testing and health evaluations.
  • Hazardous items (medications, chemicals, poisons, combustibles, and sharp tools) locked up and away children.
  • Written procedure for disasters and first aid posted.
  • Criminal background checks on the day care provider and assistants.
  • Day care provider is free of communicable diseases.
